As the air industry recovers from the catastrophic impact of the pandemic, we are seeing a growth again in passenger air traffic, and with that a growth in the data requirements generated by aircraft and passengers, which will only increase as technology advances.
This is exacerbating the need for robust and secure connectivity. A good example of this is where aircraft need to share passenger and sensor data on landing including the uplink from air to ground of engine and other aircraft diagnostic data or even CCTV footage which requires secure and fast data transfer of terabytes of data.
